The backdrop

“First for Women” — a promise since 1836.

Established on December 23, 1836 as the Georgia Female College, Wesleyan was the world's first college chartered to grant degrees to women.

For Wesleyan, “First for Women” is not just a statement — it's a promise they have lived up to.

A storied institution that needed digital zing.

Project goals

Functionality for distinct audience segments.

Wesleyan sought an experience-design expert to carve out functionalities for different audience segments, and hired OST's Experience Design professional services.

The site needed to target prospective students aged 14–20 alongside prospective donors — bringing both segments onto a common platform.

Our offerings

Audience-mapped concept design and template conversion.

Audience mapping came first — identifying and comprehending both target groups, then designing a concept full of campaigns highlighting Wesleyan's unique characteristics.

After approval, we moved to template conversion using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, creating section-specific animations in a template compatible with all smart devices.
