The Backdrop is an inventory and order management software used by distributors, wholesalers and E-Commerce. It has multiple functionalities. From managing sales & customers, multi-currency accounting, inventory & vendors, multiple marketplaces and ecommerce integrations to processing orders – facilitates and optimizes it all.

  • Salesorder Application – From regular maintenance to new enhancements, we took a 360 degree approach towards the Application.
  • Technical support -With JAVA/J2EE technologies, we maintained and provided technical support to the Application using its own generic framework writing with JAVA, J2EE, XML, XSLT and JAVA Reflection. We issued resolutions in the existing code.
  • Along with handling the new enhancements, we developed new plugins and reports.
  • We did integration with different marketplaces like Amazon, eBay etc. as well as with various shopping carts like WooCommerce, PrestaShop, BigCommerce etc.


  • Understanding the framework -The main obstacle was in understanding the prevalent generic framework and developing the pieces into it. Different programming languages like .NET, JAVA, PHP, JavaScript etc had to be understood and synced with each other for the smooth operation.
  • Permutation of priorities -Various tasks had to be frequently switched and swapped, going by the customer’s priorities.
  • Processing records -Heavy records had to be processed in a short span on DB(MySql) and on JAVA end.
